Richard Osborne and Dave Cochlan love Sidney Island. Out of all the vacation spots in British Columbia and across the world that they could have chosen as their personal sanctuary, they chose Sidney Island. It's been their retreat from the busy offices at LandQuest® Realty for over 13 years, they have hiked its trails, walked its beaches, fished off its shores and watched the sunsets with their families.
Rich remembers "When we got our first call about Sidney Island in 1997 we knew little about it but before we even made our first trip I told Jill We are going to become very involved in this place.
We listed our first lot in 1999, sold it a few months later and have been involved ever since. The first lot sold was a 45 acre fee simple property that zoning and regulations would allow the owner to build one house and a cabin. We worked with Peter Pearse, Ozzie Sexsmith, Bruce Ledingham, and others through the arduous process of developing the 111 strata lots that exist today. The brilliance of the project in my mind was the creation of the Conservancy Zones in exchange for maintaining the privacy of the island."
Dave Cochlan worked tirelessly showing properties to the many buyers that have already purchased on Sidney Island. He made numerous suggestions for major and minor adjustments to property lines to maximize the enjoyment of each of the lots and knows the location of every property pin and loves hiking the island showing and explaining these properties.
